patterson street bikeway -It's time
Residents on Jackson Hill are looking at speed bump programs to slow the traffic. The bikeway would solve much of the problem. Jackson Hill is the latest high-speed cut through route. It has many blind spots and is dangerous to bikers and pedestrians. Our bikeway was about to happen after fourteen years of input.

A Suggested Revision
We have proposed a change in the route from the bridge. Instead of going up to Blossom on Jadkson Hill - we think a dual lane up Scotland is a better option. This would require the utilities go underground, woule allow a wider sidewalk in the park, and possibly a one way Scotland Stree with an esplande for farmers markets, etc. This is part of our Cleveland Park Reimagined Program
Trees are coming
We are happy to have sold out our Phase One plan for thirty trees. We are grateful for Trees for Houston and were excited when Barry Ward was out to talk about their program.
Trees are what can bring an unengaged neighborhood together. Nine days after Trees for Houston told us they could do 30 Trees for $5K, we had sold out the first 30 trees. Donors were not only from Magnolia Grove, but also West End and Rice Military, and an equal number of homeowners and renters stepped up for our park's future canopy. Thanks you neighbors -we're not moving to phase ii called "PLANT DAY PARTNERS"
